1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using HumanMade, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the registry.

2. Service Description

HumanMade provides a verification registry for human-created works. We offer a "HumanMade" badge and registration number based on visual evidence provided by the user. We do not verify legal ownership, copyright, or originality of the work.

3. Registration Fees

A non-refundable fee of $2.00 USD is charged for each individual work registered. This fee covers automated sanity checks, storage on our high-performance PostgreSQL backend, and community oversight tools. Fees are subject to change but will always be clearly stated at the time of registration.

4. User Responsibilities

Users must provide honest and accurate visual evidence of their creative process. You represent that the work you are registering is human-made and that you have the right to register it. Fraudulent submissions—including using AI-generated content as "human-made"—are a violation of these terms.

5. Community Flagging & Revocation

Trust on HumanMade is community-driven. Any user may flag a submission they believe is fraudulent. If a submission receives a significant number of unique flags, it will be placed under review. HumanMade reserves the right to revoke any badge if evidence is found to be false or misleading. Fees will not be refunded in cases of revocation.

6. Limitation of Liability

HumanMade is an independent registry and is not liable for any copyright disputes, plagiarism claims, or financial losses resulting from the use or display of our badges. Our verification is strictly a visual sanity check of the "human-made" claim.
